The wine is dark red in colour with deep purple hues. The aroma is of intense cassis and blackberry mingled with tobacco tones.  The palate shows concentrated dark fruit flavours with a fine tannin finish giving persistence and length.

A polished cabernet blend, with pure varietal aromas of currants and raspberry with a whiff of cedar. Fruit characters are very much to the fore. The palate has a soft, willowy texture, round and succulent with firm tannins and attractive flavours of currants and leather.

This wine is made from the classic three Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (84%), Merlot (15%) and Cabernet Franc (1%).  It has the typical cassis-blackberry fruit characters found in well-ripened cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon with the suppleness of the Merlot and aromatic lift of the Cabernet Franc. This fruit is set against a backdrop of cedar and cigar box wood tones.
